Hear are a couple of paragraphs from my book, “MAKINGS OF A FATHER,” Trials and Triumphs of Fatherhood . This is from the chapter entitled, “Fathers Don’t Always Know Best!

I learn this in the most painful way. Listen to what happened: I was so upset with him that I could not think straight; I could not wait until he came home to hear his excuse and admission of guilt.  When he arrived, I immediately approached him, which was my first mistake.

I told him I had found panties under his pillow and a condom in his trash can.  I asked him why he had sexual intercourse in our home.  He said he had not but had done it in my truck, which I had loaned him two days before.  This infuriated me to have my son lie to me to my face as if I was a fool.  I grabbed the belt and attempted to whip him, which was my second mistake.
